The simple answer? PLENTY!

There are 2 different beaches you can choose to lounge on. What’s unique about Pearl Island is that the beaches are fairly small, so the seating is actually elevated and away from the water.

Definitely sign up to snorkel! One side of the island doesn’t have much to see when you snorkeled, but the snorkel excursion on the other side of the island is an oceanic paradise. We brought our own snorkel gear, but they have sanitized rentals that you can use at no extra cost. Living in South Florida, we snorkel pretty often and . However, the snorkeling here is great for ALL comfort levels! A guide will be there in the water with you the entire time, and a life jacket will also be provided.

If you’re not into snorkeling, there is a beautiful lighthouse on the island. Climb the spiral staircase for stunning views of the entire island and surrounding waters.

Pearl Island also has kayaks and paddleboards you can rent for free, and a water trampoline for the kids to enjoy! And while the kids are playing, adults can enjoy alcoholic beverages. In my opinion, the drinks were only okay and probably overpriced. But sometimes, that’s just what you need to enjoy a day at the beach.

How do you get to Pearl Island, Bahamas?

You can access the beautiful tropical paradise of Pearl Island by water taxi. The location is a little hard to find, so be sure to give yourselves plenty of time to get there. We were able to walk from our cruise port, but we had others in our group whose drivers had a hard time.

In my opinion: ABSOLUTELY! I had a wonderful time relaxing in paradise. Being a water lover and adventure traveler, I thought Pearl Island had so many fun activities. From the kayaks, to the paddleboards, to the snorkeling, there was plenty for me to explore. I also appreciated that all of the visitors are people who paid to be there – Pearl Island is a private island and you cannot gain entry any other way.
