Things to do in Minnesota

This beautiful state that I grew up in, oftentimes gets overlooked as just another state in the Midwest. But did you know, Minnesota has more shoreline than California, Hawaii, and Florida combined? Minnesota’s diverse landscape offers an array of outdoor activities for nature enthusiasts. In the warmer months, the Land of 10,000 Lakes lives up to its name, providing ample opportunities for water-based activities like boating, fishing, and swimming. The state’s extensive network of hiking and biking trails allows visitors to explore its picturesque scenery and wildlife. Additionally, during the winter, Minnesota transforms into a winter wonderland, becoming a paradise for skiing, snowboarding, and ice fishing. From the jaw-droppingly beautiful rocky cliffs of the North Shore, to the Great River bluffs carved by the Mississippi River, adventure travelers will love the variety of activities Minnesota provides. Are you a foodie? The Twin Cities has quite a variety of cultures that have long been influencing the food scene. One of my favorites is Owamni, an indigenous restaurant in Minneapolis. In fact, Minneapolis is a playground for fusion restaurants, boutique coffee shops, quirky theme bars, food halls and more!
Minnesota truly offers something for everyone: Outdoor adventures, cultural exploration, foodie delights, and more. So, whether you’re planning a visit or simply seeking inspiration for your next adventure, Minnesota’s unparalleled charm and diversity make it a captivating destination for travelers from across the globe.
